It is truly the community of children, parents, teachers and alumni that define the character of a Parent Co-op Nursery School. Our strong community has grown and evolved since Sunnymont first opened in 1954. The Sunnymont philosophy is based on a belief that children naturally develop to their fullest potential in a stimulating and respectful environment, where the needs, talents, and perspectives of every individual are honored. Our sister school, Westside, shares our strong child-centered philosophy and our passion for children and childhood.

Sunnymont and Westside will be merging and moving to a new home in family friendly Cambrian Park, just 3 miles from Sunnymont's Campbell location, and 5 miles from Westside's San Jose location.

Sunnymont won't have a building for the 2011-12 school year, so we won't be offering children's classes directly, but our spirit will be alive and well at our nearby sister school, Westside Preschool. Our fantastic teachers (Debbie, Justine, and Liz), and participating families (parents and kids), will join Westside's wonderful community at 3257 Payne Ave in San Jose for the 2011-12 school year.
